There isn't and won't be a newest laptop.You may see a new laptop and before you even blink there will be a newer.It's the same with phones and everything else.

get HP or HP-Compaq instead..

X220T. It should be available in a month. For business laptops the whole outdated technology stuff doesn't apply. Dell, HP, and Lenovo all release business laptops on 1-2 year cycles.
