Lenovo ThinkPad Laptop from turning off in sleep mode

How do I stop my Lenovo ThinkPad Laptop from turning off in sleep mode?
Every time I shut the lid of my computer it goes into sleep mode. This is good, but after a while in sleep mode it either shuts down/hybernates/does something that causes it to close all programs and require rebooting. How do i stop this from happening and just let it go in sleep mode forever?

In my opinion, your giving a call to the Think center, and let them to help you fix the problem, is the best choice. Commonly, it's free, if your product is < 2 years.

Go down to the bottom right corner of your screen. click on the up arrow and then click on the energy management icon (most lenovo's have this, mine does at least.) then click on the detailed settings button (the blue gear one) and then click on the second tab in the new window. Go though the settings and change them so it doesn't turn off after a while.
