How to remove auto screen turn off for lenovo laptop?
My Lenovo G550 laptop's screen turns itself off automatically after a minute when it is left unused just like a screen saver . I am totally fed up wid this feature cuz it does not allow me to watch any on-line videos buy switching itself off . Can n e 1 tell me how do i turn this feature off ? sry i miss-spelled by *

Can i put the microsoft works disc from my hp laptop onto my lenovo laptop?
Can i put the microsoft works disc from my hp laptop onto my lenovo laptop?
I got microsoft works with my old Hp laptop and it says its for distribution on a new computer only. I was wondering if i can put it on my new Lenovo laptop seen as it doesnt have any microsoft works. Would that work? Well th disc isn't opened but it is on the Hp yes

You can try, whether it will accept the product key as genuine is another matter. It has already been used on the HP, I take it?

yup it should work as long as the microsoft works disc does not link to your hp laptop

short answer will be yes. but that will violate the license since it's originally for that hp laptop. if you really want it on the lenovo, you will have to remove ms works from your hp. so what you do is basically move the license from hp to lenovo. fyi, licensing is a very confusing stuff.

Lenovo n500 laptop only shows a black screen when I start it up?
Lenovo n500 laptop only shows a black screen when I start it up?
I have just purchased a Lenovo n500 notebook and installed another ram stick to make it 2gb. I have all the connections set up, like the battery, and the power cord. I go to turn the laptop on, but only a black screen shows up. The lights on the keyboard show up, but nothing else. I've even tried to use the screen brightness but that didn't work either. Is this even a good brand?

I haven't use a Lenovo laptop yet. So I can't say if it's a good brand. Maybe you could contact the sales support of the laptop since you aren't familiar with the gadget itself. This way you won't have to risk damaging your laptop due to wrong assumptions.

i don't know about the brand but when my hp laptop did that same thing i unplugged it from the wall, took out the battery and waited 5 minutes. then put the battery back in and plug it in again. try starting it back up.

Lenovo laptop making buzzing sound bottom left?
My laptop is making a buzzing sound on the bottom left. It's a lenovo. Is this normal? Runs on windows 7.

I'm using a Lenovo too.. Usually, a sound on the Bottom Left is the Cooling Fan. This might be due to the stability of the Laptop. Make sure the table is really flat and it's Stable. But in some cases, This would be a factory defect or Laptop Age. Go to the lenovo Forums Page. hope this helps...
