What are the best laptop brands among HP, Dell, Acer, Sony, Lenovo?
I'm looking for a new affordable laptop since my 4-5 year old one is dying out. What are some good laptops nowadays among Dell, HP, Acer, Sony, Lenovo or any other popular brands out there I didn't list? I'm looking for either a 13in or a 15 in screen and no more than 500-600 dollars.

I recommend the HP G60-530US Laptop, which has a 15.6 inch screen. It has a 2.1 GHz Intel Pentium dual-core processor, which is powerful enough to do pretty much anything, including watching high-definition videos and playing games. This laptop also has a 320GB hard drive, which can store plenty of music and videos, and 3GB RAM. It comes with Windows 7, which is the most recent version of Windows that was just released a couple of months ago. The HP G60-530US Laptop has built-in Wi-Fi, which can connect to the internet wirelessly, and has a CD/DVD drive. This laptop has a pretty good 3.75 hours of battery life. Sony is the nicest but most expensive. I am a Dell girl, we own all Dells in my house and they are great computers.

You have to check what kind of graphic card you have installed on your Lenovo laptop. Is it a Intel GMA, Radeon, or Nvidia. They all have a different software that lets you control the contrast and color of your video. I don't know what you have but you can easily check yourself by right clicking on your desktop to see a Nvidia or ATI control panel. If none of those appears, right click on your desktop and go to personalize. Then go to Display to see what graphics you have. (Off my head, my brother is on the Vista laptop, I use XP MCE)
