Can I add more memory to my Lenovo laptop to "hold" more music?

Can I add more memory to my Lenovo laptop to "hold" more music?
Due to downloading a lot of music and photos, I am down to only about 25% free space. Can I add more?

Not easily since you will need to reinstall your OS. Just purchase a USB 2.0 external hard drive and you will be set.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh google it

For a laptop, you'll probably need to get an external hard drive. You should be able to pick up a 500GB drive for around $149 at most places now.

Since this is a laptop, you've got one of two options. (1) Buy a new hard drive for the machine. Has to be bigger than the current one. Will have to reinstall Windows and your personal files to the new hard drive, since you can only use one internal hard drive at a time. (2) Buy an external hard drive, which will allow you to concurrently use the internal and the new external drive together. I recommend this solution more than the other one. Prices for external drives are dropping, so you'd be well advised to consider this alternative.

Yes. Simply upgrade to a bigger hard drive or buy an external storage device.
6 :
yes all u need to do is buy a new memory or hard drive. My dad has one for his work. they probably sell them in Office Max or bestbuy.

First a clarification, you want to add more disk space not more memory. Memory is a temporary place which the computer uses to run programs and it gets erased when the computer is off. Disk space stores your music, and other programs for your computer and stays around when you start your computer again. To answer your question, yes you can probably get a larger hard drive for your computer. Any of the large retail computer stores can help you with that.

In the UK, PC World will upgrade any computer (even those not bought at PC World) and carry out a complete transfer of the original laptop hard drive to the new larger capacity hard drive. There is a charge - I just don't remember what it might be. £30 to £50 maybe excluding the cost of the hard drive. I swapped my sister's 30GB hard drive for a 120GB model and then I bought a USB2.0 2.5" hdd case so that the original 30GB hard drive is now a portable hard disk unit. Ask for "The Tech Guys" at PC World. I guess there is a similar service at PC World (US) if you live there.

Yes, you can buy a larger hard drive and install it. Transferring your files from the old drive to the new drive will be the biggest challange. I recommend buying an upgrade kit similar to the one linked below. This includes an enclosure to turn a laptop drive into an external USB drive, and software to copy all of your files from the old drive to the new drive. When done swap the drives, and you'll have your old drive as an external USB drive as a bonus.

you could find it on this website www.titannotebook.com http://www.titannotebook.com/default.asp i bought some batteries from them with good price

First before you go out an buy a new battery, how old is your battery? If you have had it for a couple of years then it is likely a dead battery. However if fairly new, you may be able to get some more use out of it with a reconditioning. Let the battery drain completely and then do a full charge. Repeat this 2-3 more times and then see how long the battery lasts. Although you still may not get too much more from this battery, it's worth trying and then keeping as a back up once you get a new one. Otherwise, you can visit for the OEM 41u3198: http://www.batteryfuel.com/b-5028-41u3198.html Good Luck

They probably won't do that, even if they could. They'll probably just drag your a** to court.

Hi there, To disable functionality on your laptop remotely from the shop because you didn't pay your repair bill, would be seriously illegal on their part. There is a service called LoJack For Laptops that does what you want - unless you have your entire life stored on the laptop or it is a business laptop, I would suggest simply backing up your data frequently instead of using such a service. What laptop manufacturer is best - Lenovo or Asus?

What laptop manufacturer is best - Lenovo or Asus?
I'm buying a new laptop for around £400. I'm torn between a lenovo one and an Asus one. I looked for reviews of each manufacturer but had no joy. It's reliability i'm looking for. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, J

Asus

Asus is definitely better than Lenovo. Asus is bigger, has better laptops, and a very good service. Lenovo is not as big as Asus and has a really bad service. Out of all my customers, 40% choose Asus. 3% choose Lenovo. Go for Asus! That's all I can say to you. You'll be happy if you buy an Asus laptop.
