How long does a Lenovo X60 laptop last?

How long does a Lenovo X60 laptop last?
my school has laptops that they give to all the students. Now mine and others is starting to fall apart. The stylus isn't working, stuff falling off...stuff like that. My question is how long do these laptops last? the school has had them for around 3 years. I don't want to pay for a new one(they charge us if they break) if its time for a new laptop!!

It depends on the usage, but I don't think they should last any longer than 4 years or so

Contact the support were you bought the laptop. If under warranty they will fix it or charge you.
2 :
if the laptop is new then return it to the retailer they have to repair or replace it by law if the laptop is second hand and you knew of the broken screen before hand then you should be able to sort it out so log as the laptop boots into windows (which i appreciate you can't see right now) you simply connect the laptop using the external connection (DVI or VGA) the screen should be detected and then ask you if you want to use the external screen as a desktop extension or as the main screen

if you still have warranty, you can have it repaired else you need to take it to repair. might be costly.
4 :
None of my laptops require me to change any settings to connect to an external monitor

Some laptops don't bring parallel ports anymore :/ only old computers have that...

I beleive you can buy a parallel port that plugs into the usb port of your laptop, or you can buy a small print server box, which has two ports on it, one network port for an ethernet cable to your router, and has a parallel port to connect to your printer, quite a common piece of kit in small offices.

Lenovo Y650 Ideapad laptop

Is it illegal to run Leopard OS X or any other Macintosh OS on a Lenovo Y650 Ideapad laptop?
I don't know if it is illegal or not but I heard that you could run Leapard OS X or any other macintosh OS on a Lenovo Y650. I don't know if it is true or not. Somebody please answer my question. The reason why I asked this question is because i want to make my own ipod touch applications with Apple SDK programming, and it is only available on Mac OS X. Thanks.

As long as you've purchased the OS, you can use it on whatever computer you want...so far. I wouldn't put it past Jobs and his TechGestapo to try and make it illegal to use MacOS on a non-Apple computer, but for now, you're safe.
2 :
no. its not "illegal", its against apple's terms but then again nearly everything is, its possible its called hackintosh, here's a guide (theres many), apple doesn't like it or want it but no police officer is going to arrest you http://lifehacker.com/software/hack-attack/build-a-hackintosh-mac-for-under-800-321913.php

It is against the EULA and terms of use for Apple, yes. Unfortunately Apple decided to shaft all of us Windows developers by changing the iPhone SDK license to block us from using Flash CS5 to write applications.
4 :
Macintosh OS is not compatible with Lenovo Y650. The IdeaPad Y650 is a multimedia notebook from Lenovo with a beautiful 16-inch screen, HDMI out, a giant touchpad with multi-touch controls, and enough power and storage to serve as your primary family PC
