Can I use an HP or Dell adapter/charger on my Lenovo Ideapad Y550 laptop?
The adapters look almost the same but cost much less, will I be able to use it to charge my Lenovo?

Only if the laptop requires the same voltage and current as the charger can output, or even higher current. Tho that is not usually recommended.

Hello L2theL: No, absolutely not. I would never in my life recommend this to any individual for whatever reason. First, they are different brands for a reason. Its like using a energizer battery in place of a car battery. Second, the voltage, amperage, and connector tip is very different in most cases. Third, to save money on a charger and risk the possibility of damaging your laptop is definitely not worth it. I would just recommend you get a new charger, one for your laptop specifically. If you are worried about pricing and quality, you shouldn't. Many great online stores like Topmic have great services and durable products so you don't need to worry. You can find them via Google Search. They have something called lifetime warranty, which means if it breaks, any time, they replace it for free. It breaks again? Another free replacement. Over and over for a lifetime. They also include free shipping and 30 day full refund which is nice. I would never suggest you use another charger brand, especially if they just "look" alike for your laptop. Risking the possibility of starting a fire or frying your motherboard is never a good thought. Best of luck.

how can i restore my previous computer settings i'm using windows 7 on my lenovo laptop?
how can i restore my previous computer settings i'm using windows 7 on my lenovo laptop?
i was just downloading some internet games then suddenly all my computer programs has change to windows media player then even though i uninstalled the media player it still running and i cant even online to yahoo messenger, when i clicking the yahoo icons the windows media player open and the same for the rest programs

reinstall windows that's only option..... and please tell you bought laptop for what price? i want to buy one.. plz tell its configuration too

You are supposed to perform the Restore option in your Lenovo IdeaPad notebook only after taking the back up of all the important information in your system. You need to do the restoration of the Windows 7 in safe mode only. You need to install the updates of your Windows 7 and the service packs in your Lenovo IdeaPad notebook after completing the restoring process. The most important thing you need to keep in mind is that you should verify the available free space in your Lenovo IdeaPad notebook before performing the restoration process. How do i switch on my webcam on my Lenovo Enhanced ThinkPad Edge 15" Laptop?
Need some help please. I have recently bought Lenovo Enhanced ThinkPad Edge 15" Laptop with Windows 7 Home premium. how do i switch on the Integrated webcam? do i need to download any drivers before i can use the webcam?

well, usually you can just "turn it on" by going on a video chat site or program. Like, if you go to Facebook Video Chat Rounds (http://www.rounds.com/facebook-video-chat ) It will detect your webcam and ask to "allow access." If you click "allow," it will activate the webcam.
