if i have a lenovo laptop can i buy different brand external hard drives?
i have a lenovo T61p laptop. can a buy a different brand external hard drive (sony, etc.) or do i have to buy a lenovo external hard drive?

Help to solve sound problem in my Lenovo Laptop?
I have a Lenovo laptop . Model name is 4446.Now the problem is that the sound is not coming. Drivers are up to date. I can hear the sounds from the head phones but the built in speakers are not working. Please will you give a solution for my problem. Thank you.

If you have the speaker icon in the bottom corner double click on it to get your audio properties up, Check to see if the speakers are muted. Go to your sounds properties and see what your system is set to it should be Stereo Laptop Internal Speakers if not correct it then there is also an optio to test your audio device follow any information it gives you

Lenovo laptop died and doesn't do anything while pressing the power button?
Lenovo laptop died and doesn't do anything while pressing the power button?
A couple of days ago I was running 2 vista updates, one manual since it didn't do it automatic and one automatically. One update finished and then tried to reboot my system. Then the screen faded to black, when I try to turn it back on it doesn't do anything at all. It does show me the batter/power lights when I plug in the power brick. The laptop model is a x200t from lenovo.

Try these tricks, I am not sure which order is best or which combination, but you may have some luck: - Remove the battery and just use the AC adapter - Hold down the power button for 30 seconds - Leave the battery out and the AC adapter disconnected for a while

I read something very similar to sashazur's answer, except it said to remove the battery, disconnect ALL external connections (power,USB, any plug-in cards etc), and THEN hold down the power button for about 40secs (maybe a minute to be sure!). I presume the idea is to discharge any residual capacitance charge from the circuits? Can't remember exactly what the problem was that this was supposed to solve though!

How do i fix the sound on my lenovo laptop?
i check the sound settings on my lenovo laptop and it says the sound works good and when i listen to music on youtube i cant hear any sound of it please help!

I would suggest trying to run Windows / Microsoft updates to make sure you have the latest drivers. If that doesn't work I would check a possible loose connection. In almost every instance where I've had this problem, it was either a driver issue or a loose / bad cable. I hope this helps.
