How do I work the built in webcam for my new Lenovo laptop?
I just got a brand new Lenovo laptop from my career center. I can't find out ANYWHERE as to where I activate my webcam. I've already checked accessories and my computer and what not. Any suggestions? THANK YOU! There is no manual or CD they just handed it to me.

Read the manual. It is on one of the CDs if not a printed one.
2 :
Use it to do what? If you open an application that uses the camera then the app will use the camera.

Clean it when the screen is turned off (never when its on, for various reasons). Use a soft lint-free cloth with warm water or a little bit of windex. Don't push hard on it.
2 :
With the laptop OF wipe the screen with a clean cloth slightly dampened with clean water wipe from side to side and with little or no pressure wait for the screen to dry completely before turning the laptop back on. Do not use chemical cleaners or window cleaners on your screen A micro fiber cloth is very good for this job
3 :
If you swing by Wal-Mart where they have all the computer stuff they have a special cleaning kit. There is even a static electrity remover. It helps keep lint away from the screen.

A laptop computer screen that you can't see is no good to you. You have to be able to see what you are working on, so keep your screen clean. The following are some options for keeping your laptop screen clean. Step 1 Spray the screen with an LCD cleaner for Flat Panel Monitors and Notebooks. These are found in a computer store and do not contain alcohol or ammonia which are found in most commercial glass cleaners. The products are advertised to cut through finger prints and other hard to clean residues. Follow the manufacturer's directions on the package for best results. Step 2 Wet a towel lightly with water and wipe the screen down. Be gentle so you don't damage the screen. Step 3 Clean the screen with a water-soap mixture. Wet a towel with water and add a small amount of soft liquid soap. Wipe down the screen. Use a second water-only towel to remove any left over soap residue. Step 4 Clean with hexane. Hexane is a chemical made from oil and when mixed with solvents is used in a variety of mediums. One use is for cleaning. It is colorless yet has a strong smell. Use with caution. Step 5 Clean the laptop screen with Petroleum Benzine. Petroleum Benzine is another colorless substance that is highly flammable. It has a potent smell, but is often used to clean laptop screens. Step 6 Ask the computer experts at your local computer center what to do if none of these steps are working. Places like Best Buy's Geek Squad can answer any further questions you may have to clean your laptop's screen. Never use windex or harsh cleansers on a laptop screen! They can yellow laptop screens, or leave spots. Cleansers with ammonia are especially bad, as they can permanently harm the screen. Use a 1:1 solution of water and isopropyl alcohol. Spray or dampen a soft cloth, like an old cotton tshirt, and clean your screen with that. Be gentle! Don't spray it on the screen because you don't want to get the keyboard or other electronic components wet.

Lenovo Laptop

Lenovo laptop????????
I'm looking to get a laptop and I've pretty much narrowed down my search to Lenovo brand laptops. Now my question is which kind of Lenovo should I get? I am on a tight budget, and can only spend about 600 on a laptop. I have heard good things about the T42. I want one that is fast on the internet and will last me a good long time. Is there such a thing out there on my budget? Thanks guys :)

look for hps. they are good(they r some problems sometimes) they are the worlds biggest pc manufacturer higher thatn ibm. if u can get a desktop thatd be better but since ur asking about laptops ill help with that. with 600 u should be able to get dual core 2.2ghz 4gbs of ram intergrated video card(supercrappy but dosent affect web) u shoudlbe able to get this at bestbuy ive seen them for this price. and all comptuers past the 500 mark are fast if u know how to use them. it becomes slow after downloading and installing a lot of things and startup programs like aim that make it slow. all are fast. gigabit and wireless n would be great for the laptop.

i have a lenovo t61i. they are very good with lots of support on their webite for drivers etc. also the rescue and recovery button (blue on my keypad) comes in very handy if the pc ever has problems.
